I'm a Computer Engineering graduate from Karadeniz Technical University. I completed my Erasmus+ research internship in the Intelligent Systems and Digital Design department at Halmstad University, Sweden, and was additionally appointed as a Research Assistant during the final three months of the internship. My academic collaboration with the CAISR lab on "Drowsy Driver Detection" continues remotely. I've built projects in mobile development and artificial intelligence, served as vice president and president of the AI club, and currently continue my community work as a GDG Trabzon organizer. With a discipline of continuous learning, I focus on building projects that bring scientific research together with applied AI systems.

Under Assoc. Prof. Peyman Mashhadi's supervision, I worked on deep-learning and computer-vision-based "Drowsy Driver Detection" for safety-critical systems. I trained and systematically evaluated models across drowsy driver and yawning datasets using cross-validation and reproducible pipelines, and applied Grad-CAM and explanation-guided analysis, including sample weighting experiments, to identify and reduce reliance on irrelevant image regions and encourage focus on meaningful facial cues. After the on-site appointment, I continue contributing remotely to conference-paper preparation and experimental evaluation.

After 11 months of on-site research experience in Sweden, my academic collaboration continues remotely under Assoc. Prof. Peyman Mashhadi's supervision on deep-learning-based "Drowsy Driver Detection" for safety-critical systems; I trained and systematically evaluated models across drowsy driver and yawning datasets using cross-validation, reproducible pipelines, and Grad-CAM-based model behavior analysis, and applied Grad-CAM and explanation-guided analysis, including sample weighting experiments, to identify and reduce reliance on irrelevant image regions and encourage focus on meaningful facial cues. This work is continuing remotely toward a conference paper and has been a defining milestone for my career — both in academic research and in multicultural teamwork.
Netherlands Trip — Google Academy Award
As the first-place award of the Google Game & App Academy Bootcamp, we travelled to the Netherlands. We visited startups at Utrecht's StartupVillage acceleration hub, attended Google I/O Connect in Amsterdam, and met Turkish entrepreneurs at Unusual Enterprise and Navbea offices to learn the local ecosystem first-hand.

At Google's regional I/O Connect event in Berlin, I followed technical sessions on Android, Web, Flutter, Firebase and Google AI, and had one-on-one conversations with engineers and community members across the Google developer ecosystem.
Fluttercon Berlin 2024
I attended the Berlin 2024 edition of Fluttercon, Europe's largest Flutter & Dart conference. Over three days I joined technical sessions from the Flutter core team and global speakers, met community leaders including Majid Hajian, author of "Flutter Engineering", and expanded my network at the Flutter İstas meetup.

Joining Fluttercon Berlin for the second time in 2025, I followed the latest Flutter and Dart developments, new packages and architectural approaches, and reconnected with women developers from around the world at the Flutter İstas meetup.

Google Game & App Academy (AI & Technology Academy)
Run under the auspices of the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology in strategic partnership with T3 Entrepreneurship Hub, the Turkey Entrepreneurship Foundation and Google Türkiye — and continuing today as the AI & Technology Academy — Google's Game & App Academy Bootcamp is where our team won first place with ScrappMine, a mobile app that gamifies recycling and rewards sustainable habits. We also presented the project at Take Off Istanbul International Startup Summit 2022, and the program was crowned with a trip to the Netherlands.

Community Events
Since my university years I've cared about both learning from and contributing back to different communities. The main ones I've been part of as speaker, organiser or attendee:
TurkiSHE Network Bootcamp: A social-initiative program for women aged 18–25 where members support each other and receive mentorship, networking and personal-development training. During the bootcamp I joined workshops on career planning, personal branding and effective communication, and built a strong support network with women from many different disciplines.
KTU AI Club: As vice president and later president I led and managed our Teknofest teams across multiple categories. With the motto "Apply What You Learn" we organised trainings, workshops and events that encouraged fellow students to actually build and ship projects.
GDG (Google Developer Groups) Trabzon: As organiser I planned and ran events such as DevFest, Build with AI and I/O Extended to grow the local developer community, invited speakers, and worked to connect the regional ecosystem with the wider Google developer world.
Built with AI & other community meetups: I've taken active part in Google's "Built with AI" outreach program, GDG Istanbul meetups and KTU AI Club events.
